Things are looking up in Grand Haven, while I look down from my drone. Pronto Pups is back open. A truer sign of spring than tulips here.
A beautiful sunny day at the Grand Haven State park. People on the pier, walking the beach. Staying safe, but living life. Enjoying a wonderful day.
While hovering over the lighthouse, I looked down and yet another song came to mind… Colours by Donovan. A song from the turbulent 60’s. When 18 year old American boys were graduating from high school and heading to Vietnam. Puts in perspective the sadness from possibly missing a graduation party due to the virus. Even back then, there was hope. Colours was an optimistic, gentle song even as America was in turmoil.
Gazing at the colors of the water. The beautiful blue. The healthy greens and yellows… food for the fish. The browns from the river, not pollution, but natural browns from the forests and farmland upstream. Looking at the colors it remains clear. Spring is here. Summer is coming. We’ll be fine.
Yellow is the colour of my true love’s hair
In the morning, when we rise
In the morning, when we rise
That’s the time, that’s the time
I love the best – Donovan
