Sept 20th: Before the fall… almost autumn
Beautiful sunshine and 80 degrees! Almost seems too warm for picking Michigan honeycrisp apples, but here is our first 1/2 bushel. A lot of apples to eat. Venturing to the Grand Haven State Park beach today I was surprised by the empty parking lots downtown. Everywhere we gazed, empty spaces. The tourists have all but vanished. School back in session. Overnight, we regained our town. The joyous months to come… not worrying about crowds. Minimal traffic. Eating anywhere we chose, at anytime….
