“Shelter in Place” are the orders in many communities today with the pesky virus panic still spinning up across the world. But even in the CA Bay area, citizens are allowed out of their homes… just maintain the social distancing of at least 6 feet. So what does it mean for us? How to stay safe? Our favorite brewhouse is closed. And no more road trips to new restaurants for a couple weeks. But shelter in place for Grand Haven means run to a beach, walk in solitude, or sit in your car. Front row parking on the narrowed beach at the State Park is a thing now!
Not much different than a normal day.
Oh, we are not entering stores right now. But rarely did anyway. Haven’t been to a mall in years. Amazon is just that good. And groceries? I order everything online. Drive a few blocks to D&W Fresh Market, and they come out and load it all into my trunk. For free. We actually save money… with no impulse buying.
We will miss the friendly people of Western Michigan for a few weeks. But life is still very good.
Enjoy your distancing in beautiful western Michigan!
