Went to North Beach today and put the drone up in the air. Seems like every time the winds ease to a flyable level, thick clouds dominate the sky. Even sunny weather would not convert this scene to one of beauty. North Beach, and neighbors, are taking a brutal punch.
A steady stream of people come thru the park gates, park their cars, trudge out to the edge of the sand cliffs and shake their heads. A woman walked by me as I was bringing in my drone, “So very sad, how will the beach look this summer?”
Storms still to come. The water level this spring is expected to rise yet another foot or more.
Work continues, boulders in the water and on the shore, fighting to hold back nature. Great piles of rock and boulders yet to be deployed.
