In my old world, this would be a time of intense pressure. Well yes, in my old world, every day was pressure. But this would be closing out the year. Producing, shipping, making the numbers. Somehow surviving to fight again in the new year. Scrambling from one issue to another. Burning fire, or smoldering possibilities of doom.
Did I ever just relax? Enjoy life? Read a book? Play with my kids with clear eyes and full heart? Far, far too rarely. Closing out the year was always tough. But every full year was too tough. I was too engaged in troubles. Always worrying. Never taking the time to relax, think, be a better human.
Around the world, far too many people are stressed, angry, frightened. Caught up too deeply in the daily battle. I hope not you.
It is not me… anymore.
