Best laid plans. Sailing was on the schedule for last night. Sailboat chartered for a sunset cruise down in South Haven. But five to seven foot waves said, “Oh no you don’t.” So we hung out in Grand Haven and enjoyed the views.
They have already installed the sand fencing at the state park, even tho it is still almost beach weather. The wind blown sand is drifting heavily. Fall will soon take hold, with winter to follow. Lyrics gently compete in my brain against the powerful waves…. “Been walking my mind to an easy time my back turned towards the sun. Lord knows when the cold wind blows it’ll turn your head around.”
Family and friends making their way into town now for the wedding weekend. So far, the beach wedding is looking good. No rain forecast and a high near 70. Dinner tonight at our favorite brewhouse.
