Ninety days and our lease is up. Where do we go from here?
I have read some articles on great places to live in Central and South America. Beautiful, safe, fun, cheap. But not this year.
Florida or Arizona? No thanks.
We so love Western Michigan and have much to explore within hours of here. We have looked at some other places close by. Condo living in a community just south of here. Downtown living high in the sky in a building overlooking the lake in Muskegon.
The strong probability is that we stay right here where we are. Or rent a place still in Grand Haven. Just too good here.
I think back to when I went to high school in the small town of Le Mars, Iowa. A lot of my classmates wanted to leave upon graduation. Some did. Some, most maybe, never really did. They stayed. Not one of the better places to live on the planet, but they stayed. Either didn’t know any better, or stayed because of family.
I read the review below and wondered. What if you were raised in one of the best places on earth? You wouldn’t know it. It would just be your home town. You would not know how lucky you were. The person below is correct. But how? Lots of traveling? Or listening to their friends return over the years? I don’t know how they got it right, but every word rings true.
Where do we go from here? We don’t for now. We stay.
Grand Haven is such a great area to live! The beautiful beach, kind tourists, and hiking areas make up this city. I have lived here my whole life, and I don’t see myself anywhere else. Nothing is better than having the four seasons, and a safe community. Smore’s and the beach in the Summer, Snowboarding/Skiing in the Winter, flowers lining every shop in the Spring, and bonfires with family in the Fall. Grand Haven has the best school systems with memorable teachers and students that never stop wanting to learn. I believe everyone should either live here or visit some day because you won’t regret it!
