Of course today included a visit to our lake. This was our view as we lounged on the beach. More accurately, reclined inside our black Toyota Avalon with the windows down. Sometimes owning a black car has its downsides, but today, with a temperature in the mid 30’s and very little wind, we stayed nice and warm while viewing and listening to the waves. Nothing like an hour at the beach to completely de-stress… if we had any. When you are already at peace, the beach just builds on it, a centering, fortifying a deep joy that lasts all day.
The fencing is beginning to collect some significant sand, much more to come as winter sets in. Even with the fencing, the parking lot and roads need constant attention to knock down the drifts.
Happy Birthday to my wife today, who finally joins me in being officially old, though this year has turned the clock back by decades for both of our souls.
