Last evening we stopped by our favorite quiet beach and discovered the snow/sand fence is erected. A very good chance of a special event in our family there late September next year, so it looks like we will still be safe from the fencing then… now if we could just guarantee the weather.

Not the greatest of sunsets, but really can’t have a bad one over Lake Michigan. Temperature was still above 70 degrees, cool weather just another day away.

After the sunset, we moved on to our favorite brewhouse, where it was pizza and a pitcher for $20. I can never resist a good deal, but as my wife doesn’t drink, it was up to me to handle the 64 ounce pitcher. It was a tough battle, as I drink so little, but in the end, I was victorious!
And one more thing. Our favorite local lighthouse. This is not my photo, shared from another Grand Haven resident’s post. Hoping I can someday capture one close to this amazing. For all you city dweller’s, yes, that is the Milky Way. And the yellow on the horizon to the left is the city lights of Chicago, with Milwaukee on the right… both so very, very far away.

Beautiful lighthouse picture!
