I told someone on the phone today of my plans. After a short silence he replied, “Wow, what a bold move!”
I thought afterward… not so bold. What would be bold would be doing it at 30 years of age. Young married, with small children. That would be bold. But after further review, other words would replace bold…. outrageous, irresponsible, crazy.
Doing this with a plan, with the means to see it through for years to come. With backup opportunities just in case. With the only real risk of having less money late in life.
Doing it now. Not outrageous, irresponsible, crazy. Yes, he is right… bold.
