A little light snow at the beach today. We need more! Give us a foot or so all at once. Then some cold weather and a west wind to build up ice along the shore. After that, bring on an early spring. Now please.
OK, I take it back. I am thankful for whatever comes our way. Weather… do whatever you may. And we will love it!
My word of the day is again gratitude.
Heard some news from my old company. The are shutting down the Morristown,TN business. A lot of people will be out of work. People who have never worked anywhere else their entire lives. Many will find jobs quickly. Some might not. A few others might be able to escape to early retirement.
Last night I experienced my first dream about work in a very long time. More a nightmare. I was back at work. Same toxic environment. Woke up, and thankfully it was just a dream.
Today I am brimming with gratitude…
So thankful I was able to escape, thankful to be here on the shore of Lake Michigan. Gratitude for health, family, friends. Happy with everything in my life.
There was a time, when I never would have contemplated gratitude. Instead, working those 12+ hour days. Nose to the grindstone.
Yes, today, as all days, grateful to be at the beach… watching what may come our way.
