It has been a Friday night thing of late… dinner and a beach. The chefs at Old Boy’s Brewhouse go off menu on weekends and create one time only special dishes. It would be a rookie move to order from the menu on a weekend. The specials are always, well… special. Tasty culinary treats not to be missed.
After dinner, we cruised on over to the nearest beach… North Beach. Early evening with the temperature in the 50’s and we were all alone. Very all alone. Who would have thought!
Silent but for the gentle waves and light breeze.
Off in the distance, back towards the Grand Haven pier, we spied the Coast Guard ship leaving the harbor. They had taken a day off to visit Grand Haven and offer ship tours.
Being Coast Guard City, USA… coasties are always treated like royalty in Grand Haven. And always a welcome sight when you are on the waters of the Great Lakes.
