Five straight days of living in a Winter Storm Warning. Lake effect snow parked over our heads. With the wind from the west, the lake became a constant snow producer. Winds whipping for days bringing us white-out conditions over and over again. The actual temperature below zero. Salt not working on the roads. More and more snow, constant plowing leaving the streets a well-groomed ice rink.
Haven’t been to the lake in many days. Today or tomorrow.
Meanwhile our fountain chugs on, slower, smaller, but still flowing. I was hoping for an ice volcano as the last of the open water closed up on itself. Close, but not quite. Temperatures pushing 50 degrees this weekend means our winter wonderland will fade fast.
