How could you not smile being here today? Well, Friday I thought I had allergies. Saturday was a bit worse. Right eye swelled open on Sunday with a tiny bit of numbness on right lip. I knew it wasn’t a stroke because it was progressing so slow. Yesterday I self diagnosed Bell’s Palsy as I could no longer smile, face numbness progressed, hearing a little off, taste diminished. Drugs at urgent care will hopefully stop the progress. For now, half my face is frozen, eye can’t close without using my finger. I read, and was told, it could be weeks or months till I fully recover.
Such a minor problem though. Smiling always on the inside here. Didn’t stop us from going to the beach today. With my eye unable to close and the sand blowing, I did stay in the car. Sand drifts forming in the fence line.
Roads will drift closed without constant attention. As cool as today was, it will be fantastic in a couple of months when the snow is blowing. Lake effect us soon!
