Latest wisdom from my LinkedIn feed, and this came from an executive/owner of a significant business and cheered on by his readers:
So, to paraphrase, this guy and many others believe… there is a danger that lazy, poor people who do not want to work will soon be more than 1/2 the country.
It just isn’t true. There is no study, no analysis that support the claim. It is false. But hey, it has always been fashionable for the rich entitled guys to blame the poor.
Then there is this today….

Survey says… almost a third of Americans believe Socialism is better than Capitalism. Oh wait, so doesn’t that support the rich guy’s statement above? Lazy Socialists are about to ruin us? It is not 50% yet, but it is around 33%?
Nope. When you dig into the numbers, you actually see that the poor still support capitalism. Surprisingly, the more educated an American is, the more they support Socialism. While only ~20% of those with an associate degree, HS diploma (or less) support Socialism… 34% with a bachelor’s degree do, 37% with a masters, 43% with a doctorate.
So the most educated, richest, most privileged among us are in two camps. Blame the poor, lazy bastards. Or, we need Socialism to solve our economic issues.
Meanwhile, the least among us continue to believe in Capitalism and just want a job that pays a decent wage.
