The mate was a mighty sailing man,
The skipper brave and sure.
Five passengers set sail that day,
For a three hour tour, a three hour tour.
Salmon fishing on Lake Michigan… finally! And it was everything we had hoped for and more. Our charter captain and his mate were highly skilled but also fit in with our desire to have a fun trip. While the water was cold and the fish not eager to bite yet, we still brought in some very nice King salmon.
Short evening trips are usually less productive, but much more fun than getting up at 5am. Now we are off to cook our catch, while freezing the majority.
