BYU vs Gonzaga:
Pat’s Picks Post: Killian Tillie has been a man on a mission in this tournament for the Bulldogs. Tillie shot 10-11 vs San Francisco, included 5 for 5 from deep. Tillie hasn’t missed a three pointer ( 10-10) all tournament long and will look to increase the streak against the Cougars tonight. The Bulldogs versatility has been a problem for opposing defenses. Gonzaga has 5 players averaging 9.5 ppg or higher. Though Gonzaga is capable of knocking down the three, this isn’t the staple of their offense this year. They will look to get out in transition and get to the rim.
BYU will need to score at a high rate in order to stay in this game. In 8 of their 9 losses, BYU failed to reach the 70 point mark. The Cougars are led by the trio of Bryant, Childs, and Haws. The three are combining for 48.1 points per game. If the Cougars are to have a chance in this game, it will be on the back of TJ Haws. If he can make a couple of threes early, expect him to get in rhythm. This is BYU’s ticket to the tournament, so it is a do or die game for them tonight.
