I have always been a worrier. Worried about today, worried about tomorrow, worried about 10 years from now. Not wanting to make a mistake. Playing it safe.
My favorite professional football team has a coach whose first instinct is to play it safe. He had a quarterback who played it safe. He had a defensive coordinator who played it safe. Playing it safe, earned them another season of losing in the first round of the playoffs. Playing it safe lost them a lot of fans.
Next year, promises a new, young quarterback, one who will not want to play it safe. Whether I watch this team, the Kansas City Chiefs, depends on whether they can change.
I’m done with worrying. I’m done with safe. I’m done with watching other people be safe. Time for some Risky Business. (NSFW)
