A post for just one person
Had someone on Reddit request a few LoveSac photos… and Reddit doesn’t allow for direct photo posting. So I am publishing the photos here and linking. But who knows? Maybe you are interested in deep side pillows too?
The Lovesac modular system allows for a lot of creavity… you can create seemingly endless furniture layouts. Here is the first design we completed for our four season Michigan room. Lots of options using just a few pieces. A seat base comes with cushion, back pillow, feet, shoes, and metal connectors all hidden within. Then, sides can become the backs or sides of couches, chairs, or whatever you design.
Want seating that is a standard 29 inches deep? They got ya covered. Each seat is 29 inches deep, and 35 inches wide. Want seating that is deeper? Easy, turn the seats 90 degrees and you have a seat 35 inches deep and 29 inches wide. Chairs and loveseats are a snap.
An issue comes about if you want couches or sectionals three or more seats wide. Then you have to buy a deep side or two… which is actually a shorter 29 inch side… needed to make the math work and your couch assemble to be deep.
You can assemble into your perfect design. And then change your mind and easily reassemble into something completely different.
Genius!
But, what the don’t tell you about is the deep side pillows. And why would they? People get confused enough by the need for deep sides (29 inch sides versus the normal 35 inch sides). The Lovesac people figure you can just smash 35 inch pillows into a 29 inch space. And you can… with varying success.
So, the first picture above is my daughter’s standard couch set up…. oh, with rolled arms to add a little style. Looks nice!
This photo is after I turned my own seats all by 90 degrees. So a deep couch 29 by 3 wide, and 35 by 3 deep (yeah, yeah plus the widths of the sides). I had to use one deep side in the middle to make it go together. And still had 3 pillows, each ~35 inches wide. So I crammed them together. What do you think? Not the best look… but it works.
So then I bought a ~29 inch pillow to replace one of my ~35 inch pillows in the middle. A better, less smushed look? Yep, but still a little smushed.
Finally, I added two more ~29 inch wide deep side pillows. I thought they’d look perfect. But now there is actually a little gap between them. And I had gotten used to the smushed look.
Still, the shorter pillows are growing on me. I will keep my couch this way. And the lack of smush means they stay in place much better. More than you ever wanted to know about deep side pillows… unless you wanted to know. I warned you…written for just one person who asked.
